I expected that when I synced a Playlist from Songbird desktop to Songbird for Android, it would create the Playlist for me on the phone as well. All it does is copies all the tracks removing all reason you organized them into a Playlist in the first place.

Also, when syncing tracks from desktop to Android through Songbird, it creates an individual folder on my device for each Artist – which is ridiculous. There is no way to specify which folder on the Device Songbird syncs to, so I ended up with dozens of Artists folders riddled with system and app folders.

Really hoping for a rapid update so Songbird for Android becomes useful to me.

Also, Black widget option please. Purple isn’t for everyone.

Prior to the 1.5.3 update, I could control Songbird while in the Atrix Media Dock using the remote control (play, pause, next, back etc.) or while in Car Home Ultra using the Media Keys shortcuts…

After 1.5.3, these controls only affect the default music app instead of Songbird, even though I have the Headset Controls option checked in Songbird settings. Please fix! I don’t want to have to go back to the default app! Songbird kicks it’s a$$ all over the place!

The lack of integration between the desktop and android app versions breaks it for me. All I want is to be able to sync my playlists, but that never works.

I tried to upgrade from V1.2, but for some reason that hasn’t worked out. I keep getting a “package file was not signed properly” error through the Android Market.

@Jim: That’s exactly what I have been hoping for, seamless synchronization between Songbird on the PC and on my Android, preferably wireless.

Also playlists still seem to disappear on my phone and Songbird forgets what artist, album or playlist I am listening to but it does remember the last played track.

I’m using WidgetLocker with the regular Songbird widget on it, so I unchecked the Songbird lockscreen widget – but the setting won’t stick and sometimes checks itself back on again!

So far, my favourite player. Do you have any plans of building an equalizer into it?

    ^LOL!

    While we’re at it, I’d like a pony. ;)

Really important updates, especially portrait orientation lock setting.

Naive question: Where is the Stop button?

  13. Gryphon Dec 12, 2011 12:24 pm Permalink

@Kees Maas – there really isn’t a stop. It’s either playing, or paused. There is no stop.

This bugs me, but only a little.

Downloaded 1.5.3 yesterday and so far it has unexpectedly started playing twice during this night, hence me posting this at 3 am. Not sure if it’s related to notifications or not.

I refuse to use the app until you start giving support to the desktop version and some support to allow us to download and use some of the old addons. I like to at least see my album art. This is crap.

I will support what the thread starter has said in every word, which also expresses my point of view completely.

    concerning sync of playlists_
I am looking for the perfect app to sync all my music (including the playlist) from iTunes to my new Samsung Galaxy S2. With the Songbird I found a nice app which looked to be great. It syncs all my music from iTunes to my smartphone. But unfortunately it doesn’t sync the playlists (which I imported to songbird) to my phone. Why? Is there a possibility that it works? Can somebody help or know how to do it? Many thanks for ideas and help :)
