I'm upgrading to 9.10 today and I've been lucky enough to never have had any of the libvisual/gst-python problems that are on GS. I always assume it's because of my Dell laptop, (since Dell makes Ubuntu laptops, and at least my hardware is ubuntu friendly).. its a crazy assumption, but it makes me feel better when on ubuntu. @coskibum phew! im glad you’re good!
