CPU usage and memory footprint NEED to be much lower on OS X. Playing music should not take 12.5% of your core CPU usage on a quad-core Intel.

Lets hope this actually gets taken care of. Only reason I am not using Songbird heavily because it&#039;s playback is laggy compared to iTunes. It&#039;s not a huge deal when you aren&#039;t using CPU intensive applications, but it becomes a problem when you are.</description>

Again, eagerly anticipating this being available on PortableApps... or gaining the ability to control where my darn index &amp; config information is kept.</description>
