It's an Open Source Twitter. They're kinda to Twitter what Songbird is to iTunes.. So you gotta support them! ;) It is very easy to send updates to both Twitter and identi.ca simultaneously, eg. with ping.fm, hellotxt.com or updating.me. Twhirl has support for identi.ca too, and you can auto-ping identi.ca upon new blogposts via twitterfeed.com. Check it out! You should join identi.ca too. It’s an Open Source Twitter.
