0.7 looks great! I love the new, clean interface and so far I've only had a couple small hiccups. One thing, however: Flash Player doesn't seem to work after I upgraded from 0.6.1 even though I extracted and copied the files to the same directory (/opt/Songbird/). Java still works fine and I used the same method for copying the Flash plugin as Java. In fact, after upgrading to 0.7, I didn't have to do anything and Java worked fine "out of the box." I'm using Ubuntu Hardy (8.04).

I have posted about the maximize and restore buttons conflict... it is unstable. Sometimes it indicates it is in maximize state when it is not and vice versa.

I also posted about the glitch with the volume.

These are still issues, BUT I will avoid posting for now since, from the lack of responses, these are probably trivial stuff... as it is further indicating that you guys have bigger issues to deal with, which is understandable.

Looking forward to the official .7, as I have downgraded until then.

@Orma: We use file extension to determine type. This is a known limitation, but has a simple work-around: just rename the file to end with .mp3.

When I import a mp3 file that has not the ".mp3" letters at the end, songbird recognices it as a binnary file and it doesn't play the file. If I go to the properties of the file it says it is a mp3 one.

I'm using Ubuntu.

@Pino:
I've done a fast version, which removes the line (changing to "false" didn't help" at the start-up:
http://addons.songbirdnest.com/addons/1293

Please test it, there might be problems with this solution.

@Pino: I don't no how difficult this will be, too :-D It looks easy to change this attribute, but i don't no what other effects there could be. I give it a try!

@atreiu: This is the layout file used for Gonzo http://src.songbirdnest.com/source/xref/feathers/gonzo/chrome/content/xul/mainplayer.xul. When you look at line 183 you see "hasmediatab="true"". When removing this line (or probably changing to false), it will change behaviour to the way it was up to 0.6. I have no idea how hard it is to make an addon for that, but it would be really cool if you did :-).
