Last night’s build includes an all new faster, smaller, thread-safe(r) implementation of the metadata component. It hasn’t been broken in yet, so please give it a try and report any problems.
If you are a developer and use sbIMetadataJobManager or sbIMetadataJob, you’ll need to update to the new sbIFileMetadataService.

In order to support upcoming integrations between our web properties and Songbird we’ve started to consolidate all of our user accounts (which currently exist across a myriad of backends). Our goal is to support a single user account that can work across all of our current and future services.

Update @ 4:10pm: we’re back online!
We’re making some scheduled changes to the Songbird Add-ons and Translate sites today. We expect the sites to be down for an hour at most. The plan is to take them offline at approximately 3:30pm (2230h, UTC-8: view in your timezone) and be back online by 4:30 pm.
