Songbird Summer Migration Party

By roblord roblord Permalink

Whoop and warble with Songbird, all you cinnamon-bellied, double-collared, bushy-crested and golden-cheeked peeps.

The New Nest

Join us as we warm Songbird’s new spacious 8,200 sq. ft. nest. We’re adding twigs and yarn for all the newly hired ‘birders and open position hires to come.

Where: 585 Howard Street at 2nd, San Francisco map
When: Friday, August 10th, 7pm to 11pm…or so.
Why: Warm the new nest. Meet fellow freckle-breasted, copper-rumped peeps. Be one with the ‘birds.
Who’s Invited: You know who. Internet music heads, Songbird watchers, Mozilla hackers, Web 2.0 café campers, fixie posses and whatnot.

Birdgames

  • Performing live on his Soul Cycle, MC Fossil Fool, SF’s fresh bicycle rapper
  • DJ Ausome on the electro-mashed tip
  • DJ Deckard on the electro-minimal tip
  • New Songbird “Birdband” t-shirt design and buttons available exclusively at the party
  • Songbird demonstrations while sobriety lasts

Seeds + Berries

  • Pedal your own, bicycle blended frozen drinkies
  • Mission District imported delicacies
  • Cold keg beer in abundance, natch

Previous Songbird parties have been super fun and filled the space, so be an early bird.

Also, if you’re qualified for a job at Songbird, introduce yourself to a ‘birder. You may leave the party with the new “Birdband” t-shirt and a series of interviews the following week.

Sucks to be in New Zealand and not being to come along and get a t-shirt. I have the other two and it would be really cool if could sort something out so could get the complete set.

Still not close enough to where I live. Also, I don’t think I could go anyways as the alcohol might present legal troubles if I were to attend. Next year though, if I’m ever in San Francisco.

Man, sounds like you guys are going to have a blast. Think of us poor sods in the South Pacific while your riding your blending machine!

This is kind of unrelated but it seems like you guys have not been posting as regularly as you used to. Is there a reason for this?

They’re probably busying coding, or partying, or moving. Sometimes they’ll post a lot, and sometimes you won’t hear much for a while unless you hang out on bugzilla a lot.

Yea, we just moved. Things have been super nuts.

Plus there’s still one really annoying bug that I want to have fixed before we bless another Nightly.

    And that would be….which bug?

    Hello everybody

Just a little word to say that “blogmuzik” is gone, but http://www.deezer.com is born.

With absolut no copyright problems, because “www.deezer.com” signed a contract with the SACEM, the famous French rights company.

Enjoy Deezer, dear songbird users, my virtual friends. And maybe change the URL in the songbird next version…

Have a nice day, and take care,

    François from Paris

PS. excuse me for my very very bad english …and my poor 10 words of vocabulary

The one where the song doesn’t go to the next track when it completes playing.

There’s another one as of today where the browser is totally and completely DOA, too, so that’s getting a little love, too, dontchaknow?
