RTL Feathers & love for all Add-Ons Developers

0.2.5 RTL Feathers

Some great hackers are currently working on making a skin to better support the Right-To-Left languages (Farsi, Arabic, Hebrew, etc) available in Songbird, and they’re using our Bugzilla to keep us aware of their progress:

http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3724

If this is an important feature to you, you should post your support in that bug! That lets the people working on it know how much their work matters, and lets us keep an eye on all of it to know better how to produce the features most important to you.

And anyone else out there working on any kind of Extension, Feathers, or what-not, do please make a Bugzilla entry in the Extensions product and we’ll be overjoyed to provide whatever assistance you require and introduce our users to you when you’re ready to show your progress.

Development in a vacuum is totally boring.

First of All I want to congratulate you all for developing such a cool media player which has a very bright and promising future!

I am new to Linux, I have been working mainly with Windows OSs until I discovered the wonderful world of Linux. I have tried of course many open source distributions of Linux but I would like to say that I am an Ubuntu fan for life.

When I discovered about this cross-platform media player I was shocked about the first good impression I had with it, it works just awesome for a new software like this one.

If there is nay way I can help, please count with me, I know a little bit about everything…

Again Great Job and Keep it up!!!!

    Many Thanks and Regards,

The best ways that people can help are to test our Nightly Builds:

    http://publicsvn.songbirdnest.com/trac.cgi/wiki/Nightly_Builds

And file any bugs you find in Bugzilla:

    http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/

Also, if you’re multilingual you can help translate the application:

    http://translate.songbirdnest.com/

Or you can take our API:

    http://developer.songbirdnest.com/documentation/

    And read the HOWTO:

    http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/index.php/HOWTO:_Write_a_Songbird_extension

And go make your own spiffy Add-On:

Thanks for your offer to help!
