True, but we also understand that the main point around here is the App.

Certainly, anyone is always welcome to periodically try our nightly builds to see our progress. We just ask that they don't submit bugs against it until we're ready for that.

You can also look at our SVN log trail here:

http://publicsvn.songbirdnest.com/trac.cgi/timeline

In addition to funding the Open Source Drupal items, we're also funding Fluendo to make better Mac and Windows ports of GStreamer to be released under LGPL.

red, we're working as hard as we can on the next release, consequently, you might have noticed that the blog has been quiet until just recently. If you'd like to follow the progress, download a nightly build. As for your Torvalds quote, head on over to our brand spankin' new public svn server and download our source code.

Kudos to Chapter Three for their work done on Drupal and releasing the code. The Songbirdnest is a fine example of the power of Drupal and it's good to see everyone working in the spirit of co-operation.

redline, we're all impatient for .3, but I doubt this was the appropriate place to ask for an update on the developer's progress.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk but I am a bit more interested in how progress on .3 is coming. I've been keeping up with things in Bug Tracker and the bug count is increasing, presumably because of lots of new features and refactoring\rewrites. What's up?
