While the cassette has long since become the champion of the land-fill, being a taper is still alive and well. I suppose it isn’t on tape anymore but a “show-ripper” just doesn’t sound as nice, and “documentarian-audiophile” isn’t even made of real words. The ‘heads call ‘em tapers, and so shall we.
