Ladies Love The Tshirts

By jkoshi jkoshi

We’re out of tshirts for the ladies again. It seems that a lot of our fans aren’t just your average tech-geek dudes. Not to worry, we’re ordering another batch of ladies tshirts and we’ve got more help with the merchtable. Phew.

Ladies, we’d like to see you in our tshirts, so if you’ve got a shot of yourself in one, please send it along. Guys, it’s not that we don’t like guys, but we haven’t run out of guys shirts yet.

Meanwhile, please help us test our newest addon:

metadata reader extension

http://addons.songbirdnest.com/extensions/detail/35

We know plenty of people have been complaining that Songbird wasn’t reading their music’s metadata properly. We’ve had Bug 800 open for a long long time, but lately the intrepid Erik Staats of Windjay fame has managed to close the bug and upload an extension that should do a much better job reading your metadata.

As an added bonus, it handles FLAC metadata too!

It still needs a little of that magic Open Source Community QA love, so please please everyone go grab it and delete and rescan your library and tell us if you have any problems.

There’s a special Enter Bug page on Bugzilla just for logging bugs against Extensions.

Thanks for your help! We’re trying to clean up our horrible messes on the trunk this week and hope to announce a nightly 0.3 build that might be vaguely usable sometime soon. Not quite yet, tho!

Songbird Wins AlwaysOn 2007 Award

By roblord roblord

Thank you AlwaysOn for selecting Songbird as an OnHollywood 2007 top 100 private company. We’re in good company among the other winners.

For those in the Silicon Valley, I’ll be attending the press reception in Mountain View tonight if you’d like to connect.

Chirp!
