I’m Using Windows XP Home [German] 32BIT
I got a similar error (not exact though) using one of the RCs. Did you try uninstalling SB, deleting the profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\You\Application Data\Songbird) and reinstalling SB?
Application Data is a hidden folder so make sure you set to be able to see them.
After downloads the Add-On page link is pointing towards the old page, someone needs to update that.
One request when I have the player minimized the only way to get back to my library after a search is to open the side panel. Can you put in an optional “Library” button beside the “Home” button?
with current OS Integration, songs get added in the library before play.
What about if songs got added and played from within the web playlist and then, decided if added to the library or not?
It would be great if only the music listed in your search path would show up in the library. Currently it shows radio stations, songs downloaded from blogs, everything, and often they’re not properly tagged or organized. It would be nice to be able to keep them in a separate place until they’re manually added.

My problem now is that running firefox and songbird together really sucks all my resources. Wouldn’t there be a way that songbird could use firefox’s xulrunner if firefox is running? At the moment, each use 100 megs of RAM on my PC…

Hi! This is my first post here in the Songbird Community. About 4 months ago I tried Songbird on my PC. Now that I saw this release I downloaded it for my new Mac. It’s looking great!
I just have a few problems. When I use Exposé, Songbird fades out, and does not rearrange on the screen. Also, I’d like to know if there is a way to make Songbird (especially in mini mode) always on top. Thanks!

just another lot of thanks for the new release and the job well done. i´m listening through the nest since las september and it works beautifully.
here my wish for you to try and fit it into the roadmap: an integrated lyrics reader. i´m having often a window open with http://www.darklyrics.com, but having it inside the nest -even as a dynamic line in the miniplayer view- would awesome!
Its getting there. The possibilities look amazing. Currently barely anything works, but the interface looks amazing (best skin ever) and the ability to instantly look up lyrics is great!
Unfortunately, as I said, almost NOTHING works. The library is rampant with problems, id3 tags fail to work at all (The artist doesn’t show up thus screwing up the library) and its impossible to play files from the built-in internet.
But, since this isn’t anywhere near 1.0, I’ll let you all slide and continue your fine work!

Songbird is a great player and all, but it follows the trends of most modern music players that really bothers me — bloat. AmaroK (god help me here come the digg downs) is one of the worst music players i’ve ever used because there is just so much crazy bloat in it (try exiale). Why does every music player try to be so much it’s not? If you’re going to compete with _media_ players then dub your programs as such, and stop jerking everyone around with your useless ‘features’.

I like Songbird, but as a few others had already commented, the only thing that refrains me from using it is its enormous memory size. While other players use typically 10 MB (max), songbird uses 140 MB!!! this is crazy… Anything to be done about it? thank you.
otherwise, the player is awesome and would be glad if there would be an equalizer with presets and flexibility of using other decoding codecs than the default ones (like ffdshow)

We just hope people are smart enough to not open emails or links from strangers, and won’t keep trying to watch a video that’s proposed as a YouTube video, but doesn’t go to the YouTube site.
so far I encountered no problems.
this release is nice indeed, I hope it will do the job for me without any bugs.
