But there WON’T be an RC4, darn you!

Well, unless you test it hard in the next day or two and find something bad.

If you do, you know what to do, right?

ps: It has nothing to do with c0rn tac0z.

Don’t know if it’s really usefull to release another RC again, cause the main bugs aren’t still resolved since months!

Hope you guys could fight those baaaaaaad Memory Problems, and the final-version of 0.2.5 will be more flexible for those “low-memory” users

    great fan of that project,

Memory usage is, certainly, an Achilles Heel when building a product based upon other peoples’ technologies.

Using Mozilla and SQLite we’ve found they easily consume a great deal of RAM very quickly. But in doing so they create tremendous value.

If you need a low memory consumption media player, we would recommend Fubar2000 or Winamp v2.666 — both will simply play your music (and do nothing else) on old and weak machines.

We are creating a media platform to do more than just play audio. For this, you’ll need a modern machine (just like Firefox).

Our next revision in 0.3 will change the schema for better performance with larger libraries which will make things run somewhat better on lower end hardware.

Thank you for your concerns, however.

I guess, it better if songbird adopt firefox ‘method’. In basic, it’s very light. But if need more ‘power’, just install add-on. So why songbird not build in light for basic???
