It’s been a wonderous year for Songbird and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our fans, our contributors and the hard working birders here at the nest. Our plans for Songbird in 2007 will not only make it faster and more stable, but will also allow it to be extended in ways once thought impossible. We hope you’ll join us as we continue to build you a better digital media web.
On behalf of the team, a heartfelt thank you. May 2007 find you in good spirits and in good health.

Our latest teeshirts have arrived. The front design features a squad of bug-hunting ninjas on a mission. The sleeve sports a Japanese-inspired Songbird flag. Look for the special third design over your “muffin top.”

I also had the good fortune of meeting Moo.com founder, Richard Moross. Not only is he a savvy design thinker, he’s got a plan for Moo.com that you’ll find as irresistible as those mini cards. Inspired as such, I made a limited run of Songbird Moo mini cards to be included with our teeshirt orders.
Sadly, our first edition is already gone, but fret not, another run will soon be on its way. ‘Til then, you can expect our new Songbird sticker with your teeshirt order.

If you’re coming to the Party on Friday we’ll have our new teeshirts and stickers for sale on our non-virtual merchtable. Maybe I’ll see you then…

Our bird blue prints are coming together quickly now. It’s been my job to make Songbird’s user experiences easy and integrated. Now that our proof-of-concept has gotten us this far, we are free to make a few necessary changes to our visual and behavioral user experiences.
We are also addressing a number of accesibility issues that our proof-of-concept elicited from our early “fans.” That said, I’ve been doing competitive-analysis and necessary research to determine how we should make Songbird design decisions.
