  • All around less leaking, less crashing

Thoughts? Bugs? Let us know.

Juggling Chainsaws

So, while we’re quiet, we’re not sitting still. We’re still juggling chainsaws to get this project onto its next phase.

We’ve been attending to meetings and generating documents and having a grand old time working out the next phased deployment in our inexorable plan to conquer the galaxy (before the Scientologists manage to get there, first).

Even so, at the same time, we’ve also been narrowing in on a point-point release to cover a fast round of bugfixes. Here’s what we’ve fixed so far, and here’s what’s still left.

The biggest change will be to go to revision 0.8.6 of VLC, which should fix a number of lingering problems with playback.

So stay tuned, friends! We should have another nightly in a day or two, and if it’s stable a 0.2.1 release soon after.

Just gotta be careful about the arc with those chainsaws….

A New Forum for the Nest

By jkoshi jkoshi

Birdwatchers, we’ve noticed you’ve grown in number. We’ve also noticed that you’re coming from a lot of places outside the US. We’re excited that our audience is growing, but we’re also quite aware that you are all out growing our tiny website.

We’ve heard a request for a new forum and we’re definitely listening. We’d like to know what forums you think are awesome and why. Personally I wish more forums had rated comments and better cumulative systems for site activity. Please post your suggestions.
