I think that is VERY important to do good pictures or art related with a development of new software. I think the "illnes" of open source is that there aren't enough designers or illustrators to do the design's part of the development and "normal" users refuse tu use "ugly" designed software even if the code it's wonderful. I like very much your art Jkoshi, follow showing us your incredible creative pictures ;) I don’t think like Ben. As for something useful about the program, if you took the time to read the latest post you'd see that I'm telling our potential featherers where to find the stylesheets that render Songbird's UI and how they work.
