   songbird is supposed to be a music program not an art gallery. My point was why cant they post something useful about the program.. pictures are not what the programs about. PICTURES HELP NO BODY!

   Ben, we understand your concern. While it may seem it takes an army of engineers to make all this great illustration work, they actually only take up a fraction of my time. A fraction that saves my sanity, and a fraction that a lot of our users find value in. We appreciate the enthusiasm, but it’s fair to say that the pretty pictures get us a lot of needed attention from our potential audience.

   As for something useful about the program, if you took the time to read the latest post you’d see that I’m telling our potential featherers where to find the stylesheets that render Songbird’s UI and how they work. Documentation is useful is it not?

   And please refrain from using profanity on our website, we have more class than that.

   I don’t think like Ben. I think that is VERY important to do good pictures or art related with a development of new software. I think the “illnes” of open source is that there aren’t enough designers or illustrators to do the design’s part of the development and “normal” users refuse tu use “ugly” designed software even if the code it’s wonderful.
